
Power Hour
The Power Hour program enables Club members to develop the daily habit of completing homework and class preparation in a safe, quiet, dedicated space with staff and volunteer support. In addition to daily tutoring, Power Hour utilizes an incentive program to help members achieve academic success.
The Write Stuff
Sponsored by The Comcast Foundation, the goal of The Write Stuff is to increase literacy among Club members. With reading and writing activities, including community reader events, reading circles, journal writing and book clubs, The Write Stuff aims to make literacy an important part of members' lives.
Netsmartz
Sponsored by The Center for Missing and Exploited Children, youth members complete an internet safety training course before earning access to computers. Members learn about the dangers of information sharing, chat rooms and cyber bullying.
Project Learn
Project Learn high yield learning activities to reinforce academics in a fun environment and help youth apply what they learn in the classroom to practical, real-life situations. These activities, including academic games, independent reading, writing and group discussions, give members an opportunity to practice or develop skills and behaviors needed for success in school.
Career Launch
Using an online training program, Career Launch helps teen members develop necessary skills to enter the workforce. Members learn how to prepare a resume, complete job and college applications, learn interview techniques and research college and career opportunities.
