The Arts
These initiatives help young people enhance self-expression and creativity, develop multicultural appreciation, provide exposure to and develop skills in crafts and visual, performing and literary arts.

Arts & Crafts
From the basic to the more complex, daily art room activities develop creative skills of Club members. Projects include coloring contests, holiday themed projects, cultural projects and entrance into local art competitions and exhibitions.

Club Technology Programs:

Photoshop / Image Editor - Youth learn artistic concepts and technology skills to create professional-quality print materials. Editing Photography using Adobe Photoshop and learning special effect Youth take digital photos, explore the effects of distance and angle, and learn about photo composition. They also learn digital photo manipulation, from basic photo editing tasks, such as cropping and adjusting color and light, to advanced projects that require image filters and layering, such as creating CD cover art.

FL Studio Music Creator - Youth explore a variety of digital music software applications and basic music theory. They learn to write sheet music, mix musical loops, and compose and record original songs.

Music Program Basics: Basic music theory, including Rhythm, Notation, History, etc.
Instrument Lessons: Guitar, Bass, Piano and Drums; Chords, Songs, Technique and Repair
Rock Edu.: Interested kids become band members, writing and making music to perform live
Song Writing:
kids will write their own songs lyrics, poems, free speech.
Experimental Music Ensemble: Learning how ordinary objects can produce music. 

Video Production - Members can explore the world of digital video software and basic screenplay writing. This program will teach club members different camera techniques to shoot their own videos, whether they’re educational or fictional. They will learn how to brainstorm and storyboard their ideas as a team. Club members in the program will also learn the basics on editing video clips and audio tracks, while using one of the top video editing software, Adobe Premiere.

After the program club members will have skills that will help open future interest / career opportunities in the fields of film and video.

Netsmartz - Youth members complete an internet safety training course before earning access to computers. Members learn about the dangers of information sharing, chat rooms and cyber bullying.

Animation-ish - Animation-ish is designed to encourage the artist in everyone, from amateur to professional, from kids to grown up kids. The program's simple-to-use tools, engaging design, and multiple levels offer a fun, rewarding experience providing the novice animator the courage to create with confidence

UMASS BTOP Program - Exciting program to help club members better understand the use of technology available to them. Club members learned: Internet safety tips, Understanding social networking privacy settings, Cyber bulling discussions, Internet Do’s and Don’ts, Learning PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel.
