The bidding was intense...and the results were astonishing! On Thursday, November 29th supporters of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell gathered for the 10th Annual Holiday Auction at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Guest auctioneer Billy Costa got the crowd going, securing thousands of dollars in membership sponsors to support Club members who need scholarships. From there it was straight to the bidding - and it was fast and furious as guests tried to win anything from concert tickets to vacation getaways, a flight in a fighter jet to a private catered gathering, the live auction proved to be a huge success!
The night also featured a silent auction complete with over a hundred items donated by local businesses and community leaders, as well as dozens of gift baskets in our Basket Showcase! Joshua and Jeremy Pabelbon were on hand autographing copies of "Pitching with the Papelbons" with a portion of the proceeds to support Club programs. Finally, Club member Alex Brown wowed the crowd with his insight into the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell.
When the bids were tallied, the 10th Anniversary Holiday Auction turned out to be a record -breaker as the highest grossing Club Auction to date! A very special thank you to Dr. Wayne Pasanen and Susan Anton Pasanen for serving as committee chairpersons, as well the Holiday Auction Committee for their tireless work in making the Auction a tremendous success!.
